“My favorite place in State College was probably the Lion’s Den. Some of my favorite experiences Derby Days, which was a week of fun, and I week was great as well. The most valuable part of my Sigma Chi experience was the relationships I set up that have lasted to this day. I am still working as a pulmonary critical care doc. It’s all about Covid-19 right now. I stay in touch with my brothers via Facebook and phone.”

“My favorite places to visit in State College were Beaver Field and the Tavern on Fridays for beer and spaghetti. The old house was close to Rec Hall and we enjoyed handball and gym activities. Wrestling was important since we had several wrestlers in the House at that time and won a National Championship at Rec Hall with the last match won by a kid from Pittsburgh by name of Hudson who pinned his opponent and shook old Rec Hall to the rafters!! Some of my favorite experiencees were spring weekend with all the activities and the Sweetheart Dance. It was important since the weather was warming and Spring semester was close to over. The most valuable part of my Sigma Chi experiences was how I matured and the fellowship I had with my contemporaries. Both my wife (ZTA -1955) and I are in reasonably good health, and travel a little now. We used to make a lot of the football weekends, both home and away. I play golf on a regular basis.”

“My favorite spot to visit in State College was Gman- it is now closed. One of my favorite events was parents weekend, and I also enjoyed our annual day long. Not sure if they still have it. More recently, I actually work with 4 Sigma Chi Alpha Chi alums.”

“My favorite place to go in State College was The Skellar (no question) followed by football games (home and away when possible), and wrestling matches, plus Saturday night parties and Derby Week. The most valuable part of my Sigma Chi experience was the bond created with the brothers, some of which are still close after 60 years. There is very little new with me, except moving into a new home recently. I stay in contact with my brothers by email, phone, and visits.”
